If you have trouble uploading your avatar then, it may be too many pixels. You can change the size of it following these steps..

You can do this with microsoft paint.

Open up your pic in paint.. “Start > Programs > Accessories >Paint

First see how big it is by going to Image > Attributes

Next re-size by clicking on Image > Stretch/Skew, use the % boxes in ”Stretch” (set %  to 50 to cut size in half)

You will need to go back to Image > Attributes to see if it is under a 100 pixels.
