Looks great.  As we play through out the year, will it keep track of all the scores, or just the best 10 or so? If it keeps track of all the scores, late in the year, I see the whole page with all the scores on it and the best ball at the bottom.  It might be a little too much to see all the scores for the whole year.  Is it possible to just show the best ball score?   Also, I noticed that it missed something on the 18th hole.

On a different note, I noticed in my personal stats that my up/down% is pretty high, but when I look at the ranking page, it is really low.  On the ranking, does it only look at the up/downs for the scores it is using, or all the up/downs?

Pure as a mother’s love !!!

Okay, I put best possible at the top, and fixed the error for the back nine.

The rankings page uses the last 20 rounds.

more enhancement request, just posting here so I don't forget about them….

Also Is there a possibility that you will be adding stableford scoring to the site in the near future?

From a functionality point of view, is it possible to make the  Print Scorecard able to print to
Excel spreadsheet and also make the columns you want displayed selectable ?

Hi,

I just joint recently. I am living in Germany and I will add at least some courses overhere in the Frankfurt Region. I usually play 9-hole games and in Germany the rules say that in a 9-hole tournament the other half of the course is just calculated as giving 18 points in other words you play par on all the non-played holes. That is the way the official handicap is calculated from these 9-hole tournaments. I am not sure if this would be a solution for he 9-hole players. In Germany you are not getting Handicap changes from these tournaments if you are below the handicap of 11.5, so the difference is your Handicap bracket. I really seldomly play a 18 hole tournament currently due to time restrictions with work and family.

JW,

I have another favor to ask of you. would it be possible for us struggling beached whales to be able to track how many times and shots we have while in the sand bunker no matter if it was a sand save or not. Since a lot of hackers (myself topping that list), struggle fro mthe bunker I think it would be useful to see the progress there.

Thanks,

JW,

I got another request for you. it would be nice to build in a feature that will allow one personto put in the scores for the whole foursome. At this point since we keep only 1 scorecard, I enter scores for all of my friends.

Thank You

I've had several people request being able to input other player's rounds. It's a good sugestion. I'll probably set it up on the group page when I get some time.

Hey JW

During each round of golf I complete, I diligently record the number of putts I have and also the distance of the first put. Whilst this is usefulinformation to have and know I'm sure there is more that can be done with the data that we are already inputing.  The idea that comes to mind is to use the existing data to provide average distances for 1, 2, 3 and 4+ putts. Also, to have a graph that shows at which distance from the hole you are likely to go from 1 putting to 2 putts and then to 3 putts and so on and so forth. For example, at 3 feet you would be like to 1 putt 90% of the time 2 putt 8% and three putt 2% of the time. However at 12 feet you might only 1 putt 10% of the time, 2 putt 80% and 3 putt 10%.  You could have a pre-set of distances, eg; 3, 6, 12, 18, 25, 35, 50 and 50+ feet or have a input field where the user can specify the distance to be calculated.

Armed with this information, the golfer will have a heap of information that will enable them to tayor their putting practice to areas and distances that they wish/need to improve on.

I hope that this makes sence and is something worthwhile doing.

Yes… I like that! Maybe create a whole page dedicated to putting. It might also be good to start capturing putt result ie. whether you went long or above or below the break. Of course that would take modifying the input page which would be a little more work.

thanks for the suggestion!

If I can be so bold…  I would quite like to be able to record whether I was short right / left or long right / left when I hit the green with my approach shot as well.  This information will help me understand if I'm under or over clubbing in general along with analysing a particularhole that I might be have trouble with.  This could be done with a similar graphic to the fairway, where the user clicks a quadrant of a circle indicating the relationship to the hold that the ball finished at.

Hope that make sense.

Wanted to say I love the site and think you have done a great job!  I had a couple of suggestions which may have been mentioned before and I might have missed them, if so I apologize.

1.  Would it be possible to track 3 putts specifically?  I like the average putts and average putts/GIR but it would be nice to keep track of the number of 3 putts per round and how that changes with each round.

2.  Would it be possible auto scale the graphs showing scores and putts per round on the overview page?  The difference  between shooting a 90 and shooting an 80 is huge for me, but on the graph the difference between the two is shows up as being pretty small since the y-axis goes from 30 to 130.  The situtation is similar on the putts per round.

If I missed these requests or features someplace just let me know.  Otherwise I really enjoy the site and plugging in all my stats.  Thanks!

Mark,

Yeah, it makes sense. Good suggestion.

Andyg376,

Both good suggestions.

Man I wish I had more free time. I've been working on the ability to input other group member scores and the ability to create and track tournaments both virtual and course based. After I get these worked in, I'll try and priorities what to do next.

Great site.

Can you add something to allow uploading scores from a spreadsheet?

Also, on the group page after I enter a name I am then out of the group and have to go back into it from the home page.

Kevin,

I'm not sure I understand what you mean about the group page problem. Can you explain a little more?

The rounds on the round stats page should be by date played newest to oldest. I would have to log into your account to see what it's doing for your scores. If you want you can send me your password using the contact page and I'll take a look at it.

thanks
