How about walking or riding?

I grew up walking always — my Dad always said he'd quit playing the game if he couldn't walk it, and he kept walking up to age 86.

I only use a cart if there's something saying that I have to (like a scramble), or the times my wife wants to tag along and watch me play. I also never quite feel like I've got the same planning on a shot when I ride to it. Could be psychological (like so many things in golf), but my best rounds are always when I walk, as well.

I always ride. I bought a push cart a couple years ago and used it one time. Its hanging in the garage.

Since back surgury in 2000 I ride mostly now. Will walk up some fairways when playing. Always played better whn I walked. When I first started thats all I wanted to do. Once I walked 45 holes in one day, talk about sleeping good that night.

Use to always walk, but have gotten in the habit of riding the past few years. Now that you guys mention it, I feel like my scores were a little lower when I walked. I plan on walking this year during my afternoon league. We'll see what the scores do.

Walking always gave me a better prespective of where I was, what I had to do for my next shot. Never really looked at yardage markers but when walking it gave me a better look at my next shot and was able to judge my distance better.

45 holes steve!? WOW! That's a day of golf!

I have been mostly walking this year, and it feels better for the game…though the scores don't reflect it yet…

I’m not lookin for no birdies or no eagles…..I need a par…..Damn I’ll take a bogey…..What, I wasn’t OB!
