For me:
Driver: GigaGolf GX Squared, 9 Degree
3 and 5 Wood: Ram Concept+
3-PW: Ram Concept+
SW: GigaGolf Tradition 56*
LW: Ram FX
Putter: Ram Accubar
Ball: Amazingly enough, I've tried all sorts of balls, and have had best results with the Top Flite D2 Feel!
The Ram clubs are off-the-rack, but have worked really well for me as I've gotten back into playing. There are new irons in my future (and already approved by the wife!).

When I can line up a gullible sponsor (one who doesn't expect results), I'll be moving up to some V1's… until then, I'll keep getting them as I currently do. When I run across one in the woods…

I haven't tried the Top Flite D2 (haven't tried anything since beginning of Jan. ), but I think I might since some of you like them. I use to try to play HX, but since not playing a lot I now just grab whatever.

Was in a golf shop today in Pinehurst and the Top Flite D2 balls were something like $15.99 for either 15 or 18 pack. Good ball

Well I have changed irons as of today. Went to Edwin Watts in Charlotte this morning and bought the Ben Hogan AHS. All Hybird Set 4iron through sand wedge. Graphite shafts regular flex. Really smacked them in the simulator

The new sets with more hybrids sound interesting to me. As all I carry is a hybrid in my 3 iron, I'm curious how they'd work in some of the more lofted irons, particularly 6 through 9.
Although I've never had any trouble with loft on an iron, I'm wondering how they land… is the bite still there? I'm interested in hearing your experience on the course!

Well Ed, I will be able to tell you after Wednesday, unless I get to play Monday. That will be the first day on the course. The only problem I see using these will be that they tend to come in high and if you need to punch it under the wind, you might have trouble.

I am on vacation this week so if it clears up today or tomorrow I might either go out and play or hit the range. I know on Wednesday I will be playing with my usual 4 some

My playing partner went with an all hybrid set midseason last year. Before the the start of this season he took them all in and had steel shafts put in them. He loves them and doesnt have any problem getting backspin and getting the ball to check up.
He did keep a reg style sand wedge for flop shots.
Good luck with your new clubs.

Thanks for the encouragement. Took them to the range yesterday and the first shot with my PW wet about 120 yard, high and straight. I ended up trying each one and when acting like I was on the course, everything was high and straight. When focused as if I was on the course, it went straight, When I did just stand there and beat balls, thats when I sprayed them all over the place.

I see you have a $20 special putter.
My buddy plays with a putter he bought at k-mart for $ 8.00
I think its called money ball or something like that. Let me tell you this guy is lights out with this putter. We rib him all the time about it but I wouldnt putt against him for money.

I've actually made some improvements with my putting recently and have no problems with using my cheap putter. Not that its the reason for my recent improvement but I've become use to the feel of it and my putting stroke has become more consistant. I like my cheap putter!

- Taylor Made 460 R7 9.5 deg, Aldila NV-65 S Driver
- Does the job, but looking for something newer once the prices drop on the 07-08 models
- Taylor Made R7 Steel, Stock Stiff 3 Wood
- Solid head. This won't be leaving my bag for a while
- Cleveland Halo 19 deg, Aldila NV-85 S Hybrid
- Good club, worth the $60 I paid, but there are better hybrids out there
- Cleveland Halo 22 deg, Aldila NV-85 S Hybrid
- Good club, worth the $60 I paid, but there are better hybrids out there
- Mizuno 4-PW MP-30, Sensicore R300 Irons
- Great for low handicappers. I'm not completely sure I shouldn't be using something more forgiving, but my goal is to be a solid 5-7 handicap, so these clubs will be with me as I get there. I may eventually replace the shafts to something stiffer.
- Cleveland CG11 48,54, 58 Wedges
- Probably the most disapointing purchase I made. Not because they are bad clubs, but because the Vokey's dropped in price right after I got these. So it's more mental than anything…knowing that I could have got Vokey's for the same price…just makes me sick.
- Scotty Cameron Pro Platinum 33' Putter
- Just went back to this putter. I was using a Ping G5 Craz-e, but I was missing a lot of putts I feel I should have made. Not because of the putter, but because of my stroke. The Scotty is less forgiving, but the roll it puts on the ball is unmatched. I'm guessing the Scotty will force me to sharpen my putting mechanics, and I'll eventually go back to the Ping
- Taylor Made TP Red Ball
- I used to use Pro V1s, but they're just too expensive. This ball is comparable, but I also got 6 dozen off ebay for about $28 a dozen. This is the older model from 06 I think. Not the newere ones you will find in the pro shop now.
